After a successful tour to Crookwell in 2023, the Choir of St Paul's College, Sydney returns to present a concert featuring the works of Anton Bruckner, Charles Villiers Stanford (in the 100th anniversary of the composer's death) and more.
The Choir of St Paul’s College, Sydney is the flagship of the musical life at the College. An auditioned choir of students and Lay Clerks, the choir boasts some of Australia’s most exciting young musicians, many of whom study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. During term-time, the Choir is primarily involved in the singing of services in the College Chapel. The Choir sings weekly Evensong on Tuesdays at 5.15pm at the College Chapel which are open to the public and all are warmly invited to attend.
The Choir of St Paul’s College has been regarded for its “faultless performances” and “exquisite musical beauty” (CanberraCityNews 2023), and this year will tour as the resident choir of Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral London, Canterbury Cathedral and York Minster, as well as concerts at Saint-Eustache, Saint-Sulpice, La Madeleine and the Australian Embassy Paris.
